Gray pvc foam board is lightweight yet extremely rigid in the thicker sizes. It is made of moderately expanded closed-cell polyvinyl chloride (PVC) extruded in a uniform sheet with a low gloss matte finish. PVC material is easily formed into just about any shape imaginable using wood and foam board fabrication techniques. It is also extremely dent and scratch resistant.
